In 2024, 18 federal executive bodies (the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian National Guard, Rostekhnadzor, Rosleskhoz, Rosmorrechflot, Roszheldor, Rosnedra, Rosselkhoznadzor, Rosstandart, Rosimushchestvo, Roshydromet, Rosmolodezh, the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, and the Federal Medical and Biological Agency) and two subordinate institutions of the federal executive bodies (the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Financial Information Center" of the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "SIC of the Ministry of Transport of Russia") are taking part in the experiment - a total of 63 GIS.

In order to achieve the indicator of the event, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media proposes in the text of the draft resolution to extend the terms of the experiment until December 31, 2025.

Many systems encounter vulnerabilities that are exploited by cybercriminals. The main reasons for this are clear and obvious. This is outdated software, insufficient funding for various cybersecurity measures, as well as a shortage of qualified personnel. The extension of the experiment may be due to the need to improve existing systems. It is known that when an ordinary company develops a public service, it also conducts a security audit and penetration testing several times.
