Thousands of people who changed their place of residence and moved to safer regions of our country or abroad were able to receive their pension payments without any obstacles.

The Government adopted a decision to transfer to the Pension Fund of Ukraine from the social protection bodies the functions of paying and assigning housing subsidies and benefits, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine designated the Pension Fund of Ukraine as the authorized management body in the system of mandatory state social insurance in connection with temporary disability and industrial accidents.

Such decisions have led to a number of advantages.


Firstly, the concentration of functions for the assignment and payment of pensions, housing subsidies special database and benefits, and insurance payments in one institution, such as the Pension Fund of Ukraine, has allowed for savings in funds that were previously allocated to maintaining the administrative apparatus and are now used to increase social payments.

It is easy to compare: more than 5 thousand specialists were engaged in the issues of providing housing subsidies and benefits in social protection bodies, the number of employees of the Social Insurance Fund at the time of its liquidation was also about 5 thousand people. At the same time, the number of employees of the Pension Fund of Ukraine bodies after the transfer of new functions to it was increased by only 1,350 people.
