What is an ASUS system recovery partition?
As the name suggests, ASUS system recovery partition is a partition that is used to restore ASUS laptop to its original state when the problems occur. It contains the recovery image (system image) and is hidden on your computer by default.
In addition, you can also create an ASUS system recovery disk/disc or ASUS recovery drive by saving the system image file to DVD, CD, USB or other discs.
How to use ASUS system recovery partition to restore your laptop
Method 1: Enter ASUS Laptop Recovery Mode.
Turn on your ASUS laptop.
When the ASUS logo appears, immediately press F9 repeatedly on the keyboard.
Select a language and click Next.
The ASUS Preload Wizard window will appear, giving you three options: Restore phone number list Windows to the first partition only, Restore Windows to the entire HD, and Windows to recover entire HD with 2 partitions.
Please select an appropriate option and click Next.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the wizard to continue.
Please note:
Although the first option only deletes the first partition on ASUS, it also affects other partitions on the hard drive. The second and third options will erase all partitions for you and create one or two new partitions for the recovery process.
